Niki and I moved to Slovenia long-term in September 2014, and we're excited to continue reaching Slovenes for Christ here for as long as the Lord keeps us here. It's a country desperately in need of the good news of Jesus, and we're excited to be part of helping point people far from God to their Savior. The country is predominately Catholic, but it is very much tradition severed from authentic faith in Christ.

We both grew up in Christian homes, but we didn't really begin walking with the Lord until college. After getting burned out and disappointed by the party scene at Ohio University, we both got connected with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) and truly surrendered our lives to the Lord–both of us before we met each other. I studied business (planning to go into sales) and Niki studied communications (hoping to do event planning), and neither of us had any intentions of going into vocational ministry.

After a summer mission trip to Slovenia after our junior year of college, the Lord opened our eyes to his plan for us–to serve as missionaries to help reach university students with the gospel. I remember thinking during our time in Slovenia, "Who will come help Slovene students know Jesus? Why not us?"

We were married after graduating from Ohio University in 2011 and worked with Cru for a year at our alma mater. We then headed to Slovenia from September 2012 to July 2013. After training and developing our team of ministry partners, we returned to Ljubljana, Slovenia in September of 2014 and have no plans to leave any time soon. All of our kids were born in Slovenia: Raegan in June 2015, Everett in December 2017, Griffin in June 2019, and Adler in May 2021.

We're praying the Lord would transform lost people into Christ-centered laborers all across Slovenia. We are praying to work ourselves out of a job in Slovenia–that one day in the near future there would be Slovenes who are faithfully walking with Jesus and would take over and lead the ministry there–being fully nationally led. Then, we pray Slovenes would go to the ends of the earth making disciples.
